2 Crazy Weeks

Well….. its been a bit quiet here lately. My life has been pretty crazy though. A summary of the last 2 weeks:

  • Busiest week of the year at my (ex-) job due to end of financial year
  • Packing up our things and moving out of our place in Australia
  • 20 hour plus plane ride to Canada with a 5 month old baby (actually he was pretty well behaved)
  • Getting sick with strep throat

I have found time to make a couple of comments and also delete a few comments from some weirdo who was insistent on linking to some leather fetish site (I guess I have my top commentators plugin to thank for that – nb comments are now being moderated).

I tried to do some writing but, to be honest, writing about self improvement is the last thing I have felt like doing since getting sick. Instead, I have tried to relax and have actually been able to read some fiction for the first time in awhile (nothing like having a new Harlen Coben book to devour). And I’ve had a nice place to recover (see below pic) so don’t feel too sorry for me.

So yeh… new articles will be coming soon. In the meantime why not check out some of my most popular articles or look through the archives. Or just go to another site where the blogger updates more regularly :). Seriously though, the slowness on this site is only temporary and in the near future I will start start cranking out the articles again.

I just found you about a week ago and I’ve been waiting with bated breath for word that you still updated the blog! Glad to hear you’re still out there! Take care of yourself!

Thanks Karen. I’m definately still alive and kicking. This blog will receive a lot more attention from myself soon.

    Hi Peter!

I too have found your blog recently and have found much of it to be a breath of fresh air and also relief in that there are other people that have experienced what I have been going through too. The battle against excessive weight, the search for meaning and self improvement, the deep and passionate joy of having a child, and going to the ends of the earth for love. When I was reading about your struggles, I felt I was reading very much about myself. The difference between you and I seem to be that you have been able to succeed towards victory over those struggles whereas I definitely see I haven’t. Your blog is refreshing, encouraging, insightful, and personal enough to get a grasp of your feelings while written in a way that challenges me to evaluate my own.

I do hope you feel better soon. Warmest greetings from a Canadian living in Finland!

    Welcome to Canada, Peter!
I hope you get better soon and we’ll get to read something inspirational from you. I’ve been kind of lazy and lost the last few days myself…

Thanks Christoper and Denis. I’m back from my mini-holiday around British Columbia & Alberta and feel great. Note the new Canadian header image (Peyto lake in Banff for those interested).
