It’s a Boy!
I’m extremely excited to announce Kathryn gave birth to our second son, Rohan Joseph Clemens, at 11.11am last Friday.
He’s 8 pounds 2 ounces and so far is a very content little guy. Here are a couple of pics from the first 24 hours:
Mother and son are both doing well. And me? I couldn’t be happier….

hey, congratulations to you! this is the first time i’ve seen a picture of you too, even though its top view. you look good! honestly i expected someone older because your writings sound like they’re from an aged person who have years of experience and been through life’s difficulties.

Here’s to you, your family and all the beautiful memories waiting for you!
For a bit of advice, your other boy will need more love and attention than ever as his world has changed forever. I’m sure you and your wife will find ways to make him feel included but my wife and I would ask our older boy for “advice” on how to take care of his new baby brother. We would ask questions such as, “What should we do now?” “Why is the baby crying?” “Is he hungry?” “Will you help us feed him?” “When he gets older, what games would you like to play with him?”
Embrace the moment and feel the joy!

What gorgeous photos – congratulations! I’m so glad to hear that both baby and mum are doing well, too.
Make sure you have time to take care of yourself, as well as your family. And take all the opportunities you can to just enjoy being with Rohan — I’m sure he’ll grow up all too fast!

Thanks for the advice Kent. Xavier seems to be taking it well so far. We gave him a “present from the baby” (an elmo toy), and have also been sure to continue giving him lots of attention. I hadn’t thought to ask him for “advice” though – that’s a good one!

Congratulations on becoming a father for the second time.
From my experience 2 boys (I have two under six, separated by nearly two years) are certainly going to keep you on your toes – sometimes I feel like a UN peacekeeper – but their smiles in the morning are well and truly worth it.
