Hello and welcome to the 10th edition of the Personal Stories of Change Blog Carnival. This blog carnival is devoted to putting the personal into personal development by featuring true and inspiring stories of change. I received some fantastic submissions over the last 2 weeks. Here were my favorites:

Karen Shanley presents The Steering Wheel posted at Karen Shanley.

This story from Karen had me hooked from the first sentence. Here is an excerpt from the article: “I’d lost everything, and instead of experiencing it as traumatic, or bad, or being picked on, I experienced it as being one of the most clarifying and freeing experiences of my life.”

Tina Su presents Life on Purpose: 15 Questions to Discover Your Personal Mission posted at Think Simple. Be Decisive.

In this article, Tina tells of how a chance encounter with a man changed her life. This man had financial independence, several successful businesses, homes in multiple countries, and the luxury to afford the finest things money could buy. However, he was far from being happy. This encounter helped wake Tina up to her true purpose, and in this article she shares 15 questions to help you do the same.

Todd Goldfarb presents Why Compromise is SO Important for Healthy Relationships posted at We The Change.

Lola presents Getting clear posted at Real World Spiritual and Personal Development.

Lola has written a great account of how a workshop helped to shift her perspective regarding weak people. As a self-confessed “control freak”, Lola had a hard time letting going of some negative thoughts. However, with some guidance from her coach she managed to let go. She writes, “in this powerless state I felt extreme pressure as if the world was crushing so I gave up and just let the feelings take over. What was available to me from there absolutely blew my mind.”

Lucy Baldwin presents 5 Things I Learned From Moving 17 Times posted at Moving Help Central.

When I began reading this article, the first thing I did was start counting how many places I have lived in my adult life. There have been at least 10! Anyway, enough about me. Lucy has written a short, but very enjoyable, article that lists 5 things she has learned from moving.
