Personal Stories of Change Blog Carnival: Edition 12
Welcome to the 12th Edition of the Personal Stories of Change Blog Carnival. Sometimes I get a bit tired of reading personal development articles because it feels like the writer is delivering the Ten Commandments. I created this carnival because I believe that to help others change, it is best to show and inspire, rather than simply tell. Enjoy
Tina Su presents 9 Ways to Overcome Jealousy posted at Think Simple. Be Decisive..
Tina has written an insightful article that includes 9 ways to overcome jealousy. Here is a beautifully written quote from the article: “I learned that my jealousy was very much driven from my ego’s cry for attention. Deep down inside, I was just a little child, arms wrapped around myself, scared and wanting to be loved”.

David B. Bohl presents Regaining Control of My Life – How I Did It posted at Slow Down Fast Today!
In this article, David poses the question: “have you ever found yourself in this position? There’s something that you really, really want. You’re absolutely yearning for it with all of your soul and being. All you can think about is how much you want it. You ache for it and hunger for it. You become obsessed with it. You spend all of your waking hours thinking about it, consciously and subconsciously, and how to attain it. It consumes you.” David found himself in this position, and in this article he shares how he regained control.

Matthew Spears presents Emotions as beauty itself posted at Loving Awareness.
Matthew has written a very personal account describing his journey of dealing with emotions. In submitting the article, he told me: “this deals with a different way of looking at intense emotions, especially those related to my own past sexual abuse. By seeing them as beauty itself, it can bypass self-contempt, condemnation, and destructive attempts to “fix” ourselves that are really more subtle attempts of the same thing.”

Tupelo Kenyon presents Ego or Soul? Who’s Driving? posted at Tupelo Kenyon.
In this article, Tupelo asks the question as to whether is the ego or soul driving your thoughts and actions. He says, “I like the idea of soul and ego peacefully coexisting in a manner that best serves the greater good.” Sounds good to me.

Todd Goldfarb presents How To Become a Great Salesperson posted at We The Change.
Todd’s first serious job out of school was as a salesperson for a payroll company in midtown Manhattan. With his belief that “if you have the ability to sell things, that you will never be without work”, Todd embraced this position. In fact, he learned the sell the most important of all: himself. This article outlines the 2 most important realizations about the mindset of a great salesperson, and also 3 critical tools for putting these skills into action.
