Welcome to the 9th Edition of the Personal Stories of Change Blog Carnival. This carnival is dedicated to sharing true and inspiring stories of change. The following were my favorite stories of the submissions I received:
Tina presents Valuable networking tips for professional and personal growth posted at Life Balanced.
If the thought of walking into a room full of people you don’t know scares you, take heart! Tina was once like this, but now she says she loves to network. This article has some excellent networking advice, and I especially like the way she distinguishes what networking is from what it is not.

Chris presents Life in Bali, Indonesia – Expat Interview posted at nomad4ever.
In this interview, Chris describes his experience living in Bali, Indonesia (he is originally from Germany). I visited Bali when I was quite young (it is a big tourist destination for Australians) so this interview brought back a few memories. One of those memories was being bitten on the bum by a monkey (no joke!).

Rebecca Bush presents Rebirth posted at Just A Thought….
Ten years ago Rebecca spent a year at home recuperating from a life threatening situation. She writes: “that period of my life forced me to look at the reality of my mortality and experience the vulnerability of my existence here on earth. As the seasons changed, so did I. The transformation was slow and gradual but long in coming.”

Lorraine Cohen presents Gratitude – The Doorway to More Happiness and Joy! posted at Powerfull Living.
In this article, Lorraine shares a technique she uses to integrate gratitude into her life on a daily basis. I agree with her opinion that gratitude and happiness are closely linked, so this technique could be worth a shot!

Jenny Morman presents The Bravest Thing I’ve Done posted at Jenny and Erin.
Jenny writes: “this past March I chose a path that frightened me to the core, yet allowed me to confront my fears and become braver day by day.” I actually identify very closely with the fear she discusses in this article. What is it? You’ll just have to read the article to find out :) .

Marc and Angel presents Real Friends Never Grow Apart posted at Marc and Angel.
Marc was inspired to write this article after spending 4 hours chatting with his grandmother in-law. He says: “she’s 79 years old and chock full of worth of wisdom and life stories. One of the stories she told me really grabbed my attention. It was about the power of true friendship and why real friends always maintain a unique connection even in each other’s prolonged absence.”

Jody presents Affirmations and Gratitude for the Body posted at The Trinity Project.
Jody is a 5 year cancer survivor who attributes her current state of excellent health to affirmations, learning to love herself and gratitude for the process. She says: “health and happiness is our natural state of being!”

Well that’s another carnival over. Whilst I pack up the tent, you may like to head over to the carnival submission form where you can submit an article to the next edition in 2 weeks time.

Thanks so much for the inclusion!
I gave you a Stumble too
Cheers,
Lorraine
Thank you for the mention. I enjoyed reading the other sites you noted and especially your recent post on 50 ways to improve your life!
Lorraine and Tina: it was an absolute pleasure to include your stories! It is such stories that makes this carnival happen :) .
