Hey Carla, I don't think that's true. Sure, it may be harder to make friends now because you're older and have more responsibilities, but it doesn't mean you can't change who you are. You can still make friends. Just introduce yourself to people you share common interests with. In my opinion, it's easier to approach someone when you know you'll never see them again if the interaction doesn't work out.

There are billions of people on the planet. Take those chances and reach out to them. There is ALWAYS another chance to make a lifelong friend. Step a little bit out of your comfort zone and you're sure to be rewarded. Trust me.

All you have to do is try :)

I guess for me, I have a fear of rejection. When I am out in public and someone smiles at me, I do return the favor, but I'm usually afraid to take it further. For the most part, it seems everyone has their set number of friends or circle and there is no room for me. At least that's how it feels sometimes. I'm soon to be 31 and the my days of making friends have passed! That ship has sailed.

@Tess The Bold Life,

Glad you could make it :)

Connecting to the world is just as important as connecting to people. Do both and you'll be much better off.

Thanks for enjoying the post.
